Clipkiln — Terms of Service

Version: 1.1 · Last updated: 2026-09-06

1. Who we are

Clipkiln is operated by Charles Benjamin Towe, a sole trader trading as "Clipkiln".

Address for service of documents: Crowle Court Farmhouse, Bredicot Lane, Crowle, Worcestershire, WR7 4AY, United Kingdom Contact: support@clipkiln.com, or the Contact form inside the app.

2. What Clipkiln does

Clipkiln takes long videos you upload and produces short vertical clips with subtitles. It transcribes the speech, uses AI to find the strongest moments, and renders them. It also turns a script you write into a narrated video with a synthetic voice.

If you choose to, you can connect your TikTok, YouTube or Google Drive account and post or upload finished clips to it from inside Clipkiln. That is optional, you can disconnect at any time, and section 7a explains what it means.

3. Your account

You must be 18 or over and give an accurate email address. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done through your account.

4. Payment, cancellation and refunds

Payments are handled through Stripe Managed Payments. Stripe is the merchant of record for your subscription — they take the payment, handle sales tax/VAT, and your purchase is a contract with them. We provide the service itself. We never see your card details.

PlanPriceMinutes per month
Free£030
Base£4.99/month400
Pro£14.99/month1,200

Prices include any tax due. Unused minutes do not carry over to the next month.

4a. The free trial

The trial is on the Pro plan only, it lasts 7 days, and you get one per account — ever.

5. YOUR CONTENT — read this section

You keep ownership of everything you upload and everything Clipkiln produces from it. We claim no rights over your videos or your clips.

You are responsible for what you upload. By uploading, you confirm that:

We do not check whether you have the rights to your uploads, and we cannot. Clipkiln is a tool. Pointing it at someone else's video does not give you rights to that video, and does not transfer that problem to us.

You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss or cost arising from content you upload or clips you publish. If a rightsholder complains, we will act on a valid notice — including removing content and, for repeat infringement, closing your account.

Report infringement to: support@clipkiln.com with the work concerned, the material complained of, your contact details, and a statement that you are authorised to act.

6. What you may not do

We may suspend or close an account that breaches this, and we will tell you why.

7. Stock footage, music and voices

Clipkiln can composite stock footage from Pexels into your clips and add background music. Where footage comes from Pexels, we credit Pexels in the app.

7a. Connecting TikTok, YouTube or Google Drive

Posting from inside Clipkiln is optional, and nothing is connected unless you connect it.

8. Privacy in one line

Your videos never leave our server. The transcript — the text of what is said — is sent to our AI provider so it can find the good moments. Full detail in the Privacy Policy.

9. How long we keep your files

10. Service availability

Clipkiln is provided "as is". We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that the AI will pick the clips you would have picked, or that any clip will perform well on any platform. We may change or discontinue features.

11. Our liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including your non-excludable rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Subject to that, and because this is a low-cost tool rather than a managed service:

12. Ending it

You may close your account at any time by emailing support@clipkiln.com — we delete it and everything in it. We may close yours for a breach of these terms, or with reasonable notice otherwise. On closure we delete your content per section 9 and the Privacy Policy — with the one exception set out in section 4a, which is the small record we keep so that closing an account is not a way to obtain a second free trial.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give you reasonable notice by email. Continuing to use Clipkiln after that means you accept the new version.

14. Law

These terms are governed by England & Wales law. As a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and may bring proceedings there.
