How clipping on Whop Content Rewards works
Updated 22 October 2026. General information only — not financial, legal or tax advice.
Streamers, podcasters and brands pay people to turn their long videos into short ones. On Whop Content Rewards, a brand or creator funds a budget and pays clippers a rate for every 1,000 views their clips get. This guide explains how a campaign works and how to make the clips quickly.
How a Whop campaign works
- A brand funds a budget and sets a rate per 1,000 views, plus the platforms that count — for example TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels or X.
- You post the clip from your own account and submit the link to the campaign.
- The brand reviews it. If they don't act within 48 hours and Whop's checker rates the clip as legitimate, it is approved automatically (Whop).
- Approved views are paid until your per-clip cap or the campaign budget runs out.
Each campaign can also set a minimum payout. Whop's own example is a $3 rate with a $6 minimum, which means only videos with at least 2,000 views even reach review (Whop docs). Whop charges fees on campaigns; check each campaign's page for what reaches clippers.
Read four numbers before you clip
- Rate — what you earn per 1,000 approved views. It is set per campaign, and rates vary by campaign.
- Minimum views — the views a clip needs before it can be paid at all.
- Cap per clip — the most a single clip can earn.
- Budget left — when it runs out, the campaign stops paying.
Figures here are illustrations, not promises of income: most clips earn little, and results depend on the campaign, the content and the platform.
Never pay to join a campaign, and be wary of paid "clipping courses". Real campaigns pay you.
Make the clips faster with Clipkiln
Clipping pays per view, so the work is finding the good moments and getting many clips out. Clipkiln does the slow parts:
- Paste a link or upload a video — a YouTube video, your own file, or (on Base and Pro) a Twitch broadcast.
- Clipkiln finds the moments worth posting, gives each one a virality score, and cuts them to vertical 9:16.
- Captions are added automatically, and you can fix any word before you export.
- Post or schedule to your connected accounts (TikTok posts may arrive as drafts for you to publish), or download the clips.
Only clip content you have permission to use: a campaign's own videos, or a streamer who pays for clips or clearly allows them. Follow each campaign's rules on labelling and content.
What it costs
| Plan | Price | Minutes of video per month |
|---|---|---|
| Free | £0 | 30 (clips carry a Clipkiln watermark, so they can't be posted to TikTok from 27 October 2026) |
| Base | £4.99/month | 400 |
| Pro | £14.99/month | 1,200 |
Minutes are counted by the length of the video you give Clipkiln. Pro has a 7-day free trial (350 minutes; card required; becomes £14.99/month unless cancelled). Full details are in the Terms.
Clipkiln is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by or paid by Whop. Names are used only to identify the service. Campaign rules change often, so always read the campaign's own page. Any tax on what you earn is your own responsibility.
